Grace Irene Long, 74, formerly of Queenstown, Armstrong County, died Monday at the Chicora Medical Center.

Born Sept. 15, 1931, she was the daughter of Merch and Mary Painter Shirley.

She had been a nurse's aide and enjoyed crafts, bingo and fishing.

She was a member of the American Legion in Bradys Bend.

Surviving are a son, Timothy Shirley of Kittanning; six stepchildren, Lisa Kriebel of Parker, Georgia Brewer of Bruin, Don Long of Cowansville, Barb Snyder of Renfrew, Linda Knisely of North Washington and Larry Long of Queenstown; 21 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. A brother, Sam Shirley of Kittanning, also survives.

She was preceded in death by a brother, a sister, a stepdaughter and a granddaughter.

<B>LONG</B> — Friends of Grace Irene Long, who died Monday, Feb. 6, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the SNYDER-CRISSMAN FUNERAL HOME, Cowansville. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Arlyn Eisenbrandt officiating. Burial will be at Cowan Cemetery.
