Bloom 60th anniversary
Burton and Rita Bloom of Zelienople, formerly of Evans City, will celebrate 60 years of marriage with a family dinner Aug. 25 at Clifford's Restaurant, Evans City.
Burton married the former Rita Jocuns on Aug. 23, 1958 at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Pittsburgh.
They have three children, Wayne Bloom of Jacksonville Beach, Fla., Ramona White of Harmony and Renee Bloom of Butler.
They also have seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.Bloom, a Teamster truck driver, retired from New Penn Motor Express.He was a member of the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War, serving from 1951 to 1955, and is a member of the Evans City Sportsman's Club.Mrs. Bloom retired as a cafeteria manager at Evans City Elementary School. She is a homemaker, gardener and award-winning apple pie baker.
