Patricia Renick
Patricia Shoemaker Renick, 85, of West Sunbury died peacefully Monday at Butler Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.
She was born March 17, 1925, in St. Charles, Clarion County, the daughter of the late Claude C. Shoemaker and Irene (Stockdill) Shoemaker.
Patricia graduated from Har-Brack High School, Natrona Heights, in 1943 and from the Pittsburgh Secretarial School.
She worked for Pittsburgh Plate Glass as a secretary/comptometer operator for 8Z\x years. She and her husband ran Renick's Christmas Tree Farm in West Sunbury.
Patricia loved to play the piano and study the Bible. She attended the Butler Assembly of God in Mount Chestnut.
Surviving are a son, Ronald Renick and his wife, Linda, of West Sunbury; a daughter, Nancy Renick and her husband, Melvin “Jim” Grossman, of West Sunbury; three grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
She also was preceded in death by her husband, Homer M. Renick, who she married March 1, 1952, and who died May 19, 2007; four sisters; and two brothers.
<B>RENICK </B>— Friends of Patricia Shoemaker Renick, who died Monday, March 7, 2011, will be received at the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be at the funeral home at noon Thursday with the Rev. Dennis Hindman of Rider Lutheran Church officiating.
