David Cochran
David Cochran, 78, of Murrysville died Monday at his home.
He was born Jan. 11, 1928, in Harmarville, the son of David and Anna Lewis Cochran.
He was a retired electrician for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 5.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army Air Force
A NASCAR member, Mr. Cochran spent 43 years in stock car racing at the Lernerville, Motordrome and Jennerstown tracks as well as other tracks.
Surviving are his wife, Virginia Hake Cochran; five children, Kathleen Agostino of Slippery Rock, David C. Cochran of Pittsburgh, Susan Quigley of Murrysville, Ginger Beck of Delmont and Sally Cowell of Greensburg; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Doris Burke of Winchester, Va., Betty Roberts of O'Hara Township, and Sara Aikens of North Versailles; and three brothers, James Cochran of Cheswick, Henry Cochran of Richland Township and Robert Cochran of Greensburg.
<B>COCHRAN</B> — Friends of David Cochran, who died Monday, June 26, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Wednesday at the <B>Hart Funeral Home</B>, 3103 Lillian Ave., Murrysville.A service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home with the Rev.
