Jefferson Township gets half-million to refurbish pool
While the state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources announced Jefferson Township will be a recipient of funding in the largest single investment in recreation and conservation in state history, the required match that comes with the funds could be an issue.
A news release from Gov. Tom Wolf’s office announced that $555,000 is earmarked for Jefferson Township to help fund a renovation project at SEBCO Pool in Laura J. Doerr Memorial Park.
But the grant comes with a 100% match requirement, which means the township must come up with its own $550,000 to put toward the project in order to use the grant money.
