Peter P. Howryla, Sr., 86, of West Deer died on Friday at Sunnyview Nursing Home in Butler.

Born Oct. 19, 1918, he was the son of Harry and Pearl Bendza Howryla.

Mr. Howryla is survived by three sons, Peter P. Howryla, Jr. and Dennis J. Howryla, both of Richland Township, and Randy L. Howryla of Butler; two sisters, Ruby Miller and Julia Howryla, both of Butler; four brothers, Harry, John, Steve and Mike Howryla, all of Butler; two grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, the former Pauline K. Tokarski.
