John 'Jack' Sanderson

John R. "Jack" Sanderson, 81, of Butler died at 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, at his home after an illness.

Born April 2, 1924, in Butler, he was the son of John Albert and Clara Mae Weaver Sanderson.

He was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church. He enjoyed traveling and belonged to the Winnebago Travelers Club.

Mr. Sanderson was a painter for International Painters Union locals 1106 and 509.

Surviving are his wife, Dorothy M. Sanderson, whom he married Oct. 22, 1948; a daughter, Mrs. Clair (Donna Ruth) Steighner of Butler; three grandchildren, John, Shelly and Jared Steighner, all of Butler; a sister, Donna Hawryliak of Butler; and a brother, Edward Sanderson of Butler.

Three brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
