William 'Bill' Kati
William “Bill” Kati, 79, of Zelienople passed away Tuesday morning at his home.
Born Sept. 25, 1931, in Zelienople, he was the son of the late Charles and Emma Lorenz Kati.
He was of the Catholic faith.
He retired from Armco in Ambridge in 1985.
Mr. Kati served as a corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Unionville American Legion Post 512 in Beaver County. He has served as president of the Hungarian Club for the past six years.
He enjoyed planting his garden and sharing with his neighbors.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
Surviving are his wife, Ruby C. Kennedy Kati, who he married Aug. 3, 1955; a daughter, Ms. Karen Kati of Zelienople; a son, William W. Kati of Zelienople; two brothers, Dave Kati of Zelienople and John Kati of Zelienople; and two granddaughters, Kayla and Kendra Saeler.
