Roy Eugene Blatt

Roy Eugene Blatt Sr., 57, of Butler died Monday morning at Butler Memorial Hospital after an illness.

He was born March 14, 1952, in Butler, and he was the son of Paul Melvin Blatt and Helen May Perkins Blatt.

He had been a truck driver for various companies. The last eight years he worked for the Grapevine Center in Butler.

He was a member of New Beginnings Free Methodist Church in Butler.

Survivors include three sons, Victor Blatt of Slippery Rock, Roy Blatt Jr. of Butler and Tommy Blatt of West Virginia; three sisters, Marcie Shaull of East Butler, Sandy Welling of Butler and Karen Hankey of East Butler; a brother, Kenneth Blatt of Butler; and four grandchildren, Austin Blatt, Dakota Blatt, Shelvie Blatt and Mariah Dillaman. He also is survived by his longtime companion, Betty Paffrath of Butler.

He was preceded by his parents and a brother, Paul Blatt Jr.

<B>BLATT</B> — There will be no public visitation. A memorial service for Roy Eugene Blatt Sr., who died Monday, Feb. 15, 2010, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at New Beginnings Free Methodist Church with the Rev. Matt Perkins officiating.In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Roy may be made to New Beginnings Free Methodist Church, 416 Center Ave. Butler, PA 16001.Arrangements were by <B>Jay Bryan Funeral Home,</B> Prospect.
