Ann E. Henricks

Ann E. Henricks, 96, of West Chester, Pa., formerly of Butler, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday at the Neighborhood Hospice in West Chester.

She was born April 14, 1919, in Butler to the late Louis Erdos and Theresa (Henry) Erdos.

Ann was a life-long homemaker and helped manage the family farm in Slippery Rock for 20 years before moving to Meridian, where she lived until 2010. Ann enjoyed an active church life, working for many years with the St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church and Sunday school and also Katie's Kitchen.

“Aunt Ann” will be remembered for her sense of humor and loving concern for others. She enjoyed meeting people and could never pass up a good yard sale. Ultimately her passion was centered on her family and friends.

Left to cherish her memory, she is survived by one daughter, Dorothy J. (Larry) Montgomery of New Castle; two sons, David R. (Linda) Henricks of Downington, Pa., and Timothy F. (Kathy) Henricks of Marriottsville, Md.; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Theresa Stirling of Arizona.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd J. Henricks, who she married Aug. 3, 1946, and they shared 52 years of serving the Lord before his passing on Nov. 4, 1998; five brothers, Louis, Alex, John, George and Joe Erdos; and two sisters, Kate Maitland and Josephine Nemeth.

HENRICKS — Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.A celebration of Ann's life will immediately follow at 4 p.m. with the Rev. David Maitland, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Entombment will take place at the Chapel of All Faiths Mausoleum at Greenlawn Burial Estates.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Slippery Rock Baptist Camp, c/o First Baptist Church, 221 W.
