SRU hires outside for new foundation director
The Slippery Rock University Foundation board of directors hired Dave Hollenbaugh as the foundation’s new executive director, effective Sept. 6, 2022.
According to a news release from SRU, Hollenbaugh has more than 18 years of experience in higher education advancement and development leadership. He served as vice president for institutional advancement and associate vice president for institutional advancement at Saint Vincent College, where he also was campaign director from 2015 to 2022.
Hollenbaugh replaces Edward Bucha, who retired after 32 years as executive director and 36 years overall at the university.
The SRU Foundation is an independent nonprofit that supports the university and its students via charitable gifts, scholarships and other resources.
“I’m eager to cultivate and steward the support that enables access to higher education for SRU students,” Hollenbaugh said. “I look forward to growing and expanding the impact of the SRU Foundation.”
