James M. Brewer Sr., 77, of Buena Vista Road, Chicora, died Sunday in Allegheny General Hospital.

He was born in Saxonburg, July 28, 1940. He was the son of the late Melvin and Esther (Flick) Brewer.

He married Donna Jean Blose, April 18, 1958. She died June 7, 1993.

He was employed at Pullman Standard in Butler for 17 years.

He was an avid hunter and enjoyed coon hunting. He also enjoyed horses, dogs and chickens. He was a member of all of the horse associations of Pennsylvania and was a member of Western Pa. Coon Hunters Association. He was also a member of Chicora Moose.

He is survived by two daughters, Pamela Sue and Mike Steiner of East Brady, and Leeann and Mitch Dancik of Buena Vista Road, Chicora; two sons, Doug J. and Betsy Brewer of Woodbine, Md., and James M. and Shari Brewer Jr. of Buena Vista Road; 10 grandchildren, Jamie A. Brewer, Larissa L. Dancik, Josh Dancik, Lacie Claypoole, Michael Steiner, Susan Brewer, J. R. Brewer, Kayla Occhiogrosso, Nate Brewer, and Robert Brewer; and three great-granddaughters.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Brewer Sr., who died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2017.Memorial services will be held Sunday, Dec. 3 at 3 p.m. at East Brady Baptist Church, 508 Kellys Way, East Brady, with the Rev.
