Rose C. Beck
Rose C. Beck, 85, of Butler died Thursday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born Aug. 24, 1921, in Butler Township, she was the daughter of Aloysius and Agatha Binder Beck.
She was a graduate of the Butler Business College and worked as a secretary at the Butler Veterans Affairs Medical Center for 24 years until her retirement in 1981.
She was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Butler where she was on the Women's Council of St. Peter and also the Phase II club.
She was a member of the Deanery Council of Catholic Women in the Diocese of Pittsburgh, the Tanglewood Senior Center, the C.D. of A. Butler Court 443, and National Association of Retired Federal Employees. She had volunteered for the Butler Meals on Wheels program for 10 years.
Surviving are three brothers, Carl Beck of Butler, George Beck of Butler and Howard Beck of Herman; a sister, Dorothy Stern of Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters, including her twin sister, Ruth.
<B>BECK </B>— Friends of Rose C. Beck, who died Thursday, July 5, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St.Peter Roman Catholic Church, 127 Franklin St. The Rev. Pierre Falkenhan will officiate.Burial will follow in St. Peter Parish Cemetery.The Women's Council of St. Peter will meet at 9:40 a.m. Tuesday at the church to recite the rosary.
