Karen S. Rea, 58, of Bruin, passed away late Sunday evening, Sept. 25, 2022, at UPMC Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh while in the company of her family.

Karen was born in Grove City on Jan. 13, 1964. She was the daughter of the late Victor and Maxine Geibel Bauldoff.

She was a 1983 graduate of Karns City Area High School.

She enjoyed cooking, horses, dogs and, most especially, the company of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald P. “Ronnie” Rea, who passed away in 2003.

Surviving are two children, Joseph P. “Joe” Rea and his wife, Michelle “Shelly,” of East Brady, and Paula S. Rea (Michael Jordan) of Bruin; three grandchildren, Donovan Timblin and his girlfriend, Makensie, Hannah Johns and her husband, Brian, and Dezarae Heginbotham; two great-grandchildren, Stephanie Johns and Maverick Timblin, all of East Brady; two brothers and one sister; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother.

REA — Friends of Karen S. Rea, who died Sunday, Sept. 25, 2022, will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at HILE FUNERAL HOME, 128 Main St., Karns City.

A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Paul DeBacco, pastor of Crisswell Bible Baptist Church, officiating.

Interment will be in Hemphill Cemetery, Chicora.
