Catherine Ann Tompkins

Catherine Ann Tompkins, 75, of Butler passed away Thursday at Concordia Lutheran Ministries.

Born April 15, 1942, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Regis C. and Dorothy Carbin Geibel.

She first worked in the warehouse for ServiStar, later transferring to the mail room from where she retired after more than 20 years of service.

She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Cabot.

She enjoyed playing bingo, camping, cooking, baking and especially spending time with her family.

Surviving are her husband, Frederick Dean Tompkins, whom she married July 2, 1960; two daughters, Sandra (Randy) Barlett of Butler and Patricia (Lee) Berger of Frederick, Md.; five grandchildren, Trisha Leeann (Tyler) Gantz, Ryan Dean Barlett, Steven Allen Berger, Sarah Ann Berger and Todd Frederick Powell; four siblings, Phyllis Musthaf of Chicora, Leo (Marge) Geibel of Hilliards, Dorothy (Edward) Kriebel of Hilliards and William (Jane) Geibel of Kane, Pa.; and her numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Lynn Powell.

TOMPKINS — Family and friends of Catherine Ann Tompkins, who died Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018, will be received from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11. a.m. Monday at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 330 Hannahstown Road, Cabot. Interment will be held at the Brownsdale Cemetery.Arrangements were entrusted to Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E.
