Staff Sgt. Joshua William Voigt
Staff Sgt. Joshua William Voigt, 30, formerly of Saxonburg, passed away July 29, 2015.
Josh was born Sept. 27, 1984, in Manchester, Conn. He is the son of William and Connie (Fester) Voigt.
He graduated from Knoch High School in 2002. In 2006, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. In 2011, he was promoted to staff sergeant. Two years later, he was assigned to Misawa Air Base, Japan.
During his time at the 610 Air Control Flight, he served in various leadership positions, culminating in being the noncommissioned officer in charge of training, scheduling and current operations.
Josh is survived by his wife, Kersi; his parents, William and Connie of Lampasas, Texas; his sister, Jessica Waterhouse of South Windsor, Conn.; his brother, Rob Voigt of Pittsburgh; and his nephew, Jake.
VOIGT — A memorial service for Joshua William Voigt, who passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2015, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church.Fox Funeral Home in Saxonburg assisted the family with arrangements.
