Alan C. Ferguson

Alan C. Ferguson, 61, of Butler passed away Monday at VA Butler Healthcare Hospital.

He was born Jan. 27, 1952, in North Washington, the son of the late Ralph and Esther (Ryhal) Ferguson.

He had worked at Pullman Standard, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, Trader Horn and VA Butler Healthcare Hospital.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines.

Surviving are his daughter, Jessica Podobensky of Butler; his son, Kenneth Ferguson of Butler; four grandchildren, Dalton Podobensky, Dominic Nero and William and Jeremy Ferguson; and his brother, Ralph G. Ferguson of Butler.

He was preceded in death by his three sisters and two brothers.

FERGUSON — Services for Alan C. Ferguson, who passed away Monday, Aug. 5, 2013, will be at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, at 3 p.m. Friday with VA Butler Healthcare chaplain Bob Smith officiating.Military honors will be by the VFW Post 249 and the Lyndora American Legion Post 778 at the funeral home following the funeral service. Private burial will be in Eau Claire Cemetery.Information also is available at www.youngfuneralhomes.com.
