William Lyle Mahan

William Lyle "Bill" Mahan, 51, of Saxonburg passed away Monday at his camp in Mount Jewett, McKean County.

Born June 27, 1959, in Butler, he was the son of the late Alvin and Shirley (Weister) Mahan.

He was a steel worker for Ervin Amasteel in East Butler.

He was a member of the Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church, the West View Sportsman Club, the Saxonburg Fireman's Club and various hunting organizations.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking, being outdoors and going to camp.

Surviving are his loving wife, Diane (Sasse) Mahan, who he married July 31, 1998; his stepdaughter, Sasha Watterson of Saxonburg; his step-granddaughter, Lyrika Booher of Saxonburg; his two sisters, Carol (Gary) Hines of Saxonburg and Janice (Leroy) McKinney of Saxonburg; his brother, Paul (Jill) Mahan of Saxonburg; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a brother, David Mahan.

<B>MAHAN</B> — Friends of William Lyle "Bill" Mahan, who died Monday, Sept. 6, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church with the Rev. David Brewer officiating.
