Pedestrian injured, flown to hospital
A woman was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital Thursday after she fell onto a vehicle and then fell onto the road, and struck her head.
Butler Township police said Tressa Gilley, 35, of Butler was standing on the curb at the intersection of South Duffy and Evans City roads at 5:10 p.m. when she fell into a vehicle being operated by Robert Hurd of Butler.
She then fell on to the road and hit her head during the fall, police said. She was flown to UPMC Presbyterian with a head injury. The accident remains under investigation.
