One driver was injured and transported to an area hospital following a collision between a street sweeper and a box truck Friday morning in Adams Township.

The accident occurred at 10 a.m. at Route 28 at Adams Ridge Boulevard. The extent of the injuries to the driver, who was reportedly entrapped, are not known. It also is not known which vehicle the injured driver was in.

The Adams Area Fire District, a fire department from Allegheny County and Quality EMS responded to the crash.
