Betty Jean Budney
Elizabeth “Betty” Jean Budney, 86, of Cranberry Township passed away on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2022, while under the care of Sherwood Oaks.
Born Sept. 30, 1936 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Charlton Willard Westlake and Hannah Grace (Tout) Westlake.
Betty was beloved by many for her sweet nature, beautiful smile and her readiness to always lend an ear.
Though diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, she continued to live a full, happy and independent life. She exhibited zest for adventure, a love of food and chocolate, parties and games. She was a true environmentalist, and an advocate for the disabled.
Most importantly, she consistently showed a strong and compassionate love for her children, grandchildren, family, friends and her caretakers.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 60 years, Stanley M. Budney, who she met in Hawaii, and married on Aug. 18, 1962; her children, Susan Budney, and David Budney and his wife, Terrie; her grandchildren, Michael Paul Budney, Parker Ryan Budney, Grace Elizabeth Budney, and Hannah Lee Budney; and her sister, Barbara Hill of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
BUDNEY — Friends will be received for Elizabeth “Betty” Jean Budney, who died Thursday, Oct. 20, 2022, from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23, 2022, at the BOYLAN-GLENN-KILDOO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 130 Wisconsin Ave., 2155, Cranberry Township, PA 16066.
