PITTSBURGH — Butler graduate and Point Park University junior Katresa Savisky has been named Academic All-District College Division first team.

Savisky is carrying a 3.9 grade-point average as a psychology major. She is averaging 8.9 points and 5.9 rebounds per game for the Pioneers' women's basketball team.

WEST MIFFLIN — Butler graduate and Point Park University women's basketball coach Tony Grenek had his head shaved at midcourt following his team's 54-52 win over Daemen College Friday night.Grenek promised to shave his head if his team and its fans raised at least $3,000 for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund through the Play 4Kay program. They raised $3,380.Butler graduate Katresa Savisky had 10 points and seven rebounds for the Pioneers (19-4).

BUTLER TWP — Butler County Community College dropped a pair of basketball decisions to Community College of Allegheny at home Saturday.Kevin Rummel had 17 points, Vinnie Schmidt seven assists and Brent Ayers seven rebounds as the Pioneer men (2-16) lost, 78-49.Shelby Johnston scored 15 points, Heather Cooper grabbed 11 rebounds and Cam Horwat had four assists for the Pioneer women (3-14) in a 67-32 defeat.
