Ruth McKinney

McKinney

Ruth M. McKinney, 98, of Saxonburg, passed away on Oct. 23, 2022, at the Embassy of Saxonburg.

She was born July 10, 1924, in Chicora, and was the daughter of the late Harry King and the late Ruth McGarvy King.

Ruth graduated from Butler High School in 1942.

She was a member of Hill United Presbyterian Church.

Ruth was a former member of the Bucco Travel Club.

She enjoyed sewing, knitting and camping at the river in the Kittanning area. Most of all, Ruth loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ruth is survived by her daughter, Peggy Brewster and her husband, Burt, of Chicora; six grandsons; numerous great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene E. McKinney, whom she married on Sept. 12, 1946, and passed away on Dec. 25, 2010; one daughter, Carol A. McKinney; one son, Mark D. McKinney; two brothers; and one sister.

MCKINNEY — Friends of Ruth M. McKinney, who died Sunday, Oct. 23, 2022, will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. with services following at 4 p.m. Friday at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler, with the Rev. Leigh Benish of Hill United Presbyterian Church officiating.

A private burial will take place in the Greenlawn Burial Estates.
