Lloyd M. Bastin, 88, of Sarver, passed away on Oct. 25, 2022, at Allegheny Valley Hospital.

Born Aug. 13, 1934, in Creighton, Pa., he was the son of George Bastin Sr. and Elizabeth Collins Bastin.

Lloyd served in the U.S. Army.

He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Walters and Haas.

He attended New Life Christian Ministries.

Lloyd loved, gardening, fishing, hunting, cooking, growing grapes and making wine.

Surviving are his wife, Carole Bastin, whom he married Jan. 19, 1963; his children, Susan (Dale) Fredley of Mars, Jodie (Tim) Noel of Sarver, and Daniel Bastin of Sarver; three brothers, George Bastin Jr. of Saxonburg, Emil Bastin of Nevada, and Nelson Bastin of Ohio; four grandchildren, Kayla (Brendan) McGregor, Harmony (Alan) Hodges, Andrew (fiancée Wilneris Santana) Fredley and Tyler (Mandi) Noel; and two great-grandchildren, Eilish McGregor and Hazel Rose Hodges.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, August Bastin.

BASTIN — There will be no visitation for Lloyd M. Bastin, who died Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2022.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Life Christian Ministries, 139 Knoch Road, Saxonburg.

Interment will be in the Sarverville Cemetery.

FOX FUNERAL HOME in Saxonburg has been entrusted with arrangements.
