State police have released details surrounding a fatal crash that happened Monday on Route 38 between Glenwood Way and Pine Tract Road in Center Township.

Kaitlin Selfridge, 27, of Karns City, died from blunt force trauma suffered in a head-on collision between her sedan and an SUV at 6:16 a.m. Monday.

According to a release, Selfridge was driving north on Route 38 in a Chevrolet Cobalt when she crossed the center line and struck an SUV traveling south. The SUV driver, Jasmyne Laurent, 20, of West Sunbury was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for injuries.

Selfridge was pronounced dead on scene by the Butler County coroner. Police said it is not known why she crossed the center line.
