John H. 'Bongo' Fry
John H. “Bongo” Fry, 53, of Butler passed away Monday at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born Sept. 11, 1962, in Butler, the son of the late Clarence Hilton Fry Jr. and the late Florence Nagle Fry.
John was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church. John graduated from Butler High School and had been the water boy for the football team. He participated in bowling with the Special Olympics. Bongo was an avid Steelers and Pirates fan.
Surviving are four sisters, Mary (Charles) Carmody of Butler, Aggie (John) Bennetti, Jan (Bob) Oesterling of Butler and Kathy (Ryan) Rettig of Fenelton; three nephews, Frank John Bennetti, Benjamin Oesterling and Zachariah Oesterling; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Fry; and two sisters, Patricia Fry and Florence Fry.
FRY — Friends of John H. “Bongo” Fry, who died Monday, Aug. 22, 2016, will be received from 6 p.m. until the time of the blessing service at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W.
