Christine M. Metz, 53, of West Sunbury passed away at 9:46 a.m. Wednesday at her home.

She was born Dec. 27, 1956, in Butler, the daughter of Kenneth and Ruth (Davies) Minnear of Butler.

Surviving are her husband of 36 years, Tom Metz of West Sunbury; her daughter, Tammie (Derek) Irmeger of Elwood, Ind.; two sons, Tom (Shannon) Metz Jr. of Saginaw, Mich., and Nathaniel Metz of Lafayette, Ind.; seven grandchildren, Bryan and Taylor Irmeger, Irelynd, Tara, Ashtyn, Maddy and Tom III Metz; two sisters, Linda (Max) Baptiste of Butler and Patty (Chris) Yost of Eau Claire; her brother, Kenneth (Betty) Minnear of Butler; and several nieces and nephews.

<B>METZ</B> — Friends of Christine M. Metz, who died Wednesday, July 14, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the <B>Young Funeral Home,</B> 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler. Blessing services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Father Murphy officiating.
