Mary 'Pauline' Albert

Mary “Pauline” Albert, a former resident of Butler, passed away Sunday in Cape Coral, Fla., where she lived for the past seven years.

Pauline was born in Greensburg, Ind., on May 31, 1924, to Mary and Paul Gregory. She was a graduate of Southside High School in Fort Wayne, Ind.

Pauline is survived by her two daughters, Ronda Enos of Cape Coral, Fla., and Phyllis and Loni Daniels of Venice, Fla.; two sons, Larry and Cathy Albert of Douglasville, Ga., and Richard and Terri Albert of Butler; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward Albert; her son, Ronald Dunn; her companion, Cliff Ewing; her sister, Lela “Peaches” Brown; and her brother, Bill Gregory.

Pauline worked for J.C. Penney in Butler for 10 years, was a school crossing guard in the city of Butler from 1970 to 1975, and was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, the VFW Women's Auxiliary, the American Legion and the Fraternal Order of Eagles of Cape Coral. Before moving from Butler, she was a member of Covenant United Presbyterian Church.

Pauline loved and cherished time with her family and friends and lived her life to the fullest. Her sense of humor was unequaled. Over the years she was honored to be the matriarch of a large and loving family and will be missed by all of us.

<B>ALBERT</B> — Friends of Mary “Pauline” Albert, who passed away Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012, will be received at <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham Street, Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Rev. Dr. William A. Jamieson will officiate.
