Lois Ann Wolfe Lefever

Lois Ann Wolfe Lefever

Lois Ann Wolfe Lefever, 83, of Zelienople passed away Friday.

Living is an art. That Lois Ann Lefever, daughter of Carl and Edna Hartman of Zelienople, should be our beloved teacher in that art is nothing short of a blessing for which we can only be grateful — and that's precisely what Lois Ann Wolfe Lefever, who was born June 19, 1932, became over the course of her long and fully-lived life.

We were blessed to learn many valuable lessons during her 83 years, among them, never pass up an opportunity to help others; invite new friends to Thanksgiving dinner; give to every charity that asks; deliver meals to the elderly and shut-ins; visit the nursing home regularly and hug and kiss everyone; create something beautiful for your church, your family and friends; save every scrap of material, yarn and costume jewelry because it can always be recycled in creative ways; she lived a full life advocating for those whom could not advocate for themselves, and above all, she taught us to love, forgive, trust and have faith.

During her fully-lived life, Lois Ann mastered the art of living and giving through her creative endeavors. She was a seamstress, beautician, knitter, embroiderer, quilter, jewelry maker, painter and lifelong learner, who lovingly shared her creations with her friends, family and strangers. Her cooking skills, such as her famous chocolate chip cookies, peanut butter pie, apple pie and grandma's homemade pot pie, left us begging for more.

She is survived by her second husband, John Lefever of Jacksonville, Fla.; her two children, Rick Wolfe and his wife, Karen, of Greenville, S.C., and Debbie Goehring and her husband, Ron, of Ometepe Island, Nicaragua; three stepchildren, Jeff Lefever and his wife, Sonya, of Jacksonville, John Lefever and his wife, Nancy, of Jacksonville, and Susie Lefever of Seattle, Wash.; her grandchildren, Cory Goehring of Yosemite, Calif., David Wolfe and his wife, Laura, of Pittsburgh, and Alex Wolfe and his wife, Connie, of Pittsburgh; two adorable great-grandchildren, Henry and Harold Amoroso Wolfe; her sister, Janie Rice and her husband, Carl, of Zelienople; and many nieces, cousins, other family members and friends too numerous to list. She will not be forgotten.

LEFEVER — Friends and strangers she would love to have met are invited to a celebration of life for Lois Ann Wolfe Lefever, who died Friday, Nov. 27, 2015, to be later in Zelienople.Instead of flowers or a charity, Lois Ann would hope that you do an unexpected and random act of kindness for a stranger.
