Rose M. Schneider
Rose M. Schneider, 94, of Butler died early Tuesday morning at Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia in Cabot.
She was born in Butler, May 22, 1914, a daughter of the late Nicola and Angela DeSanctis Amendola.
A graduate of Butler High School and The Butler Business College, she also had attended nursing school in Pittsburgh.
She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and the St. Paul Guild and Christian Mothers organization.
Rose formerly had been active in conservation, belonging to the Pennsylvania Chapter of Nature Conservancy, the Audubon Society and the Butler Natural Living Group, among others.
The widow of Edward J. Schneider, they married May 3, 1937; and he died Jan. 9, 2002. She also was preceded in death by a sister.
Surviving are two sons, E. James Schneider of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., and Joseph V. Schneider of North East, Pa.; a daughter, Rosemary Lingenfelter of Carlsbad, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Catholic Church, 128 N.
