Leslie D. Peters
Leslie D. Peters, 64, of Butler passed away Tuesday afternoon at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
She was born Jan. 21, 1946, in Butler and was the daughter of Robert Carnahan and Grace E. Bartlett Carnahan.
She was a member of the Mount Nebo Presbyterian Church, where she was in the choir for many years.
She worked more than 30 years as a school bus driver and was retired from Valley Lines.
She enjoyed Arabian horses all of her life.
She is survived by one son, Wade (Linda) Peters; four grandchildren, Megan Campbell, Alicia Peters, Kristen Peters and Joshua Peters, all of East Butler; one great-grandson, Jeulyen Campbell; a twin sister, Leeanna Gale Porter of Butler; and one brother Gilbert Polliard of Prospect.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Barbara Jean Oswald.
<B>PETERS</B> — Visitation for Leslie D. Peters, who died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2010, will be Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the <B>Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home</B>, 387 Main St., Prospect. The funeral service will be at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Rob Allison, her church pastor, officiating.
