Police say Philly man choked fellow IUP student to death during fight breakup
INDIANA, Pa. — Police say an Indiana (Pa.) University student killed another while trying to break up a fight.
State police in Indiana County said Mikhail Young, 21, got into an argument with a woman Saturday and Yeaseam Nelson, 19, tried to break it up by putting Young in a choke hold.
Nelson released Young after he put his hands out to his side. Nelson left the off-campus apartment but returned later to find Young dead.
Nelson, a Philadelphia resident, is being held at the Indiana County jail on charges including criminal homicide and reckless endangerment. It was not clear if he had an attorney.
