McClaine

Donald L. McClaine, 60, of Butler went to be with the Lord at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.

He was born Nov. 27, 1950, in Butler to Richard J. McClaine and Evelyn M. Callihan McClaine.

Mr. McClaine was in the U.S. Marines Reserve, where he served as a staff sergeant.

He was a senior designer with CSD Engineers, Carnegie.

Don enjoyed Mountain Men Rendezvous and also enjoyed hunting, trapping, fishing, and especially being with his family.

Mr. McClaine is survived by his wife, Kathy A. (Hutchison) McClaine, who he married on Oct. 2, 1970; one son, Matthew McClaine and his wife, Kimberly, of Butler; one daughter, Angie Gillis and her husband, Jason, of Butler; four grandchildren, Dathan Gillis, Riley Gillis, Owen Gillis and Logan McClaine; his parents, Richard J. and Evelyn McClaine of Butler; two sisters, Connie Sawford and her husband, Bud, of Butler and Mary Kay Werth and her husband, John, of Amherst, Ohio; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Richard “Pete” McClaine, and one nephew, P. J. McClaine.

<B>MCCLAINE</B> — Friends of Donald L. McClaine, who died Wednesday, July 13, 2011, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St. Butler. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev.
