Stella Clawges, 90, of Butler passed away Saturday at the Chicora Medical Center.

Born in Argentine, Washington Township, June 25, 1918, she was the daughter of the late William and Magdalena Bagowski Jarecki.

A homemaker, she was a member of the St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church.

She is survived by a son, Robert Jarecki of Butler; a daughter, Patricia Connors of Alexandria, Va.; a sister, Helen Hallahan of Butler; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Clawges, who passed away Feb. 13, 1961; two brothers; and one sister.

<B>CLAWGES </B>— There will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian burial for Stella Clawges, who died Saturday, March 28, 2009, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Meridian.
