Police Reports
The following items were collected from various police departments and district courts:
Dec. 19 — John J. Jackson, 45, of Butler, was charged with three misdemeanors, including use and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said they stopped him on Main Street, and that suspected crack cocaine, two stamp bags of suspected heroin and a burned metal crack pipe were found on his person.
Dec. 18 — John Keffalas, 74; Madeline Schnur, 26; and Diana Foehringer, 53, all of Butler, were involved in a vehicle crash at the intersection of Pittsburgh and Vogel roads. Police said Keffalas failed to stop for a red light and struck Schnur and Foehringer’s vehicles.
Dec. 17 — Wesley Longo-Deaton, 26, and Shaelynn Nagle, 17, both of Butler, were involved in a vehicle crash at the intersection of Hansen Avenue and Picklegate Crossing. Police said Longo-Deaton’s vehicle struck Nagle’s vehicle.
Dec. 19 — Deshawn L. Wilson, 19, of Gary, Ind., was charged with misdemeanors theft, resisting arrest, possessing a criminal instrument and disorderly conduct. Police said he attempted to use a counterfeit $100 bill and led police in a foot pursuit.
Dec. 16 — Whitney D. Smith, 34, of Hollywood, Fla., and Tavaris J. Shoats, 41, of West Park, Fla., were charged with three counts of misdemeanor theft. Police said they broke into a vehicle and took $1,345 worth of items. Shoats was additionally cited for criminal mischief.
Dec. 16 — Meranda L. Rockwell, 29, of Ellwood City, was charged with misdemeanor driving under the influence. Police said she crashed her vehicle Oct. 2 on Bear Run Road. Police said she showed signs of impairment, and a later blood test showed Rockwell’s blood-alcohol content at 0.073%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.
Dec. 16 — Pavel L. Burdak, 30, of Erie, was charged with two misdemeanor DUIs. Police said they stopped him Nov. 26 on Hartner Drive. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired, and a later blood test showed Burdak’s blood-alcohol content at 0.332%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.
Dec. 16 — Tyler E. Condron, 31, of Jeannette, was charged with two misdemeanor DUIs after police said they stopped him Dec. 2 on Route 228. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired, and a later blood test showed Condron’s blood-alcohol content at 0.213%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.
Dec. 19 — Bradley J. Huff, 31, of Eau Claire, was charged with misdemeanors DUI and use and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said they stopped him Dec. 17 on Kittanning Pike, Parker Township, and that field sobriety tests showed he was impaired and a scale, a glass smoking device, a plastic smoking device and plastic baggies were found in his vehicle.
Dec. 19 — Adrian Q. Nicelli, 22, of Butler, was charged with felony and misdemeanor retail theft. Police said he left Rural King in Center Township with $1,350 worth of merchandise without paying for it on one occasion and left the store with $650 worth of merchandise on a second occasion.
Dec. 16 — William R. Eli, 72, of Coraopolis, was charged with a misdemeanor DUI. Police said they stopped him Aug. 11 in Lancaster Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired, and a later blood test showed Eli’s blood-alcohol content at 0.079%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.
Dec. 16 — Chad E. Vogel, 33, of Valencia, was charged with felony strangulation, misdemeanor simple assault and summary harassment. Police said he placed his hands around someone’s neck and bruised their arm.
