Perri

Philip J. Perri, 85, of West Fulton Street in Butler died early Friday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born April 12, 1922, in Cowansville, he was the son of Angelo and Catherine Manfredi Perri.

He was a 1941 Butler High School graduate and a member of the Butler High football team. He also played football for the Butler Cubs A.S.A. Football team.

Mr. Perri retired in 1984 as the general foreman of the inspection department at Butler Armco, where he worked for 38 years. He also never missed a day of work during his entire career.

He was an Army veteran who served in World War II and the Korean War.

He was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler, where he was a president of the Holy Name Society and the Second Half Club. He also was an usher at the church and at St. Andrews Roman Catholic Church.

He was a member of VFW Post 249 in Butler and the Knights of Columbus Council 866 in Butler.

Surviving are his wife, Harriet E. Stein Perri, whom he married May 5, 1948; two sons, David J. and Richard P. Perri of Butler; two daughters, Deborah S. Perri and Diane Kiser, both of Butler; a brother, Ralph Perri of Butler; four grandchildren, Rachel and Mitchell Kiser of Butler, Amber Perri of Butler and David Perri of Oregon; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.

<B>PERRI</B> — There will be no public visitation for Philip J. Perri, who died Friday, June 29, 2007. <B>geibel funeral home, </B>201 E. Cunningham St. in Butler, handled the arrangements.A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler. Burial will follow at the Calvary Cemetery. St. Paul's Guild and Christian Mothers will meet at 9:40 a.m. Monday at the church to recite the rosary.Memorial donations may be made to the Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Road, Renfrew, PA 16053.
