A woman with a possible connection to Butler County was struck by a vehicle and killed in Ross Township on Friday, according to township police.

Authorities said Elizabeth Griser, 32, a pedestrian, was killed in a hit-and-run crash near the Sheetz in the 3000 block of Babcock Boulevard at 10:52 p.m. She was pronounced dead at 11:25 p.m. Friday in a hospital.

Police said they located the vehicle they believe struck the woman, and possibly the driver. The incident remains under investigation.

According to social media posts and a GoFundMe account, Griser is from Shaler in Allegheny County, but a report from the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office indicates that she is from Mars.

“At this time, we would just like to share that Beth was a gentle soul and a bright light. She was thoughtful, kind, and extremely family oriented as she cared deeply for her loved ones,” said Jennifer Reynolds, who organized the GoFundMe account. “We would also like to thank everyone for the outpouring of support during this time.”
