John “Jack” Bowman

John “Jack” Bowman, 86, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on June 3, 2021.

He was born on Oct. 9, 1934, the son of Pauline and Clyde Bowman.

Jack graduated from Turtle Creek High School Class of 1952.

He served in the U.S. Air Force, and then went on to graduate from Ohio University.

Jack was married to his wife, Janice for 66 years.

He was a professional photographer for 29 years with the Butler Eagle.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Bowman; and his two children, Michelle Bowman and Craig Bowman.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Bowman; his children, Derek (Jill) Bowman and Jennifer (Tim) Kane; his sister, Nora McTeir; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

BOWMAN — Visiting hours for John “Jack” Bowman, who died Thursday, June 3, 2021, will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 12, 2021, at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.A short prayer service will follow.In lieu of flowers, those who wish to remember Jack in a special way may make gifts in his memory to the veterans charity of their choice.Please visit www.spencerdgeibel.com.
