Thomas R. Lawther
Thomas R. Lawther, 63, of Middlesex Township, Valencia, died Saturday morning at Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born in Butler, July 3, 1947, he was the son of Violet Peaco Lawther of Valencia and the late Harry T. Lawther.
He worked for 25 years for Carl Strutz and Co., where he was a machine fitter.
He attended the Mars United Presbyterian Church and was a social member of the Mars VFW Post 7505.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Leslie Schwab Lawther, whom he married Dec. 3, 1966; a son, Craig T. Lawther and his wife, Leslie, of Culpeper, Va.; a daughter, Tracy Gaultieri and her husband, Patrick, of Freedom, Pa.; and his grandchildren with whom he had a very special relationship, Phillip, Tyler, Lea, Emma and Ethen. He also is survived by a brother, Richard Lawther (Ruth Elder) of Valencia; and two sisters, Sandra Milliken (Bob) and Nancy Jackson (Gary), both of Gibsonia.
<B>LAWTHER</B> — Friends of Thomas R. Lawther, who died Saturday, July 31, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home</B>, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Mars United Presbyterian Church, 232 Crowe Ave., Mars, with the Rev. Nathan Esser, pastor, officiating. Everyone is asked to please meet at the church.
