Alberta M. Kabel, 86, of the Lowrie Place died Wednesday evening at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born July 8, 1931, in Fenelton, she was a daughter of the late Ralph Kildoo and Grace (Bruner) Kildoo.

After graduating in the Class of 1949 from Butler High School, she had worked at Woolworths.

She was a member of St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church and also the Christian Mothers of St. Wendelin.

Surviving are her three children, Linda (Kenneth) Zach of Butler, James (Sherry) Kabel of Butler and Ronald (Cheryl) Kabel of Fenelton; her grandchildren, Ryan (Nicole) Graham of Indiana, Amanda (Garrett) Smith of Evans City, Kelly (J.R.) Bahorich of Butler, Kurtis Kabel of Moon Township and Chelsey Kabel of Fenelton; her great-grandchildren, Ashlen and Drake; her stepgrandchildren, Keith (Anna) Clark of Worthington, Calli (Seth) Kelosky of Ford City, Heather Schrengost of Butler and Jason (Sarah) Zach of Butler; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Emma, Cole, Cody, Kirisa, Jenna, Abbi, Tyler, Khloe, Tiffany and Sierra; her stepgreat-great-grandchildren, Cayden and Cambrie; one brother, Don (Paula) Kildoo of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Duane Kabel, whom she married Feb. 23, 1952, and who died July 14, 2003; two brothers; one sister; and two infant grandchildren.

KABEL — Friends of Alberta M. Kabel, who died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017, will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at noon Saturday at St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church. The Rev. Matt McClain, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Wendelin's Parish Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Wendelin's Catholic School, 211 St. Wendelin Road, Butler, PA 16002, or Catholic Charities, 120 W.
