A Center Township woman was happily surprised to see a snowman and "snowpooch“ erected outside her window Wednesday.

The woman, who asked to be identified just as “Sue,” said she has a long-term illness and has been homebound for some time, so the display of kindness was especially touching to her.

“I have been very thankful for the many volunteers who have helped me through my medical journey,” she said.

According to Sue, the children were spurred to create the snowman by a volunteer, who was asking people in the area to perform acts of kindness through a community Facebook page.

“It's not typical; it was just something they did,” Sue said.
