Susan Kennedy
Susan (Tucci) Kennedy, 90, formerly of Sun City, Ariz., passed away Aug. 4 at the Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia in Cabot.
She was born July 15, 1920, in Ridgway, Elk County, and was the daughter of the late Luigi and Antonia Volpe Tucci. She was one of 12 children.
She was a graduate of Butler High School and had worked at the Nixon Hotel as a desk clerk. She also was a secretary for various businesses in Butler, Chicago and Arizona.
Susan was a volunteer for the Red Cross Grey Ladies at the VA Butler Healthcare for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Merle T. Kennedy, who passed away in May 2007. Three brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.
Surviving are two brothers, Pat Tucci and his wife, Margaret, of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., and George Tucci and his wife, Mary, of Grove City; four sisters, Frances Pertile of Ellwood City, Ann Bogusky of Butler, Virginia Mills and her husband, Bill, of Harlingen, Texas, and Leona Wladika of Butler. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews.
<B>KENNEDY</B> — There will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian burial for Susan (Tucci) Kennedy, who died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2010, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 14 at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman with the Rev. Ward Stakem, O.F.M. Cap., officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery.The family requests memorial donations be made to St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, 821 Herman Road, Butler, PA 16002.Arrangements were entrusted to the <B>Martin Funeral Home</B>, Butler, and information is available at www.martinfh.net.
