Minnie L. Crews, 85, formerly of Zelienople, died Monday at the St. John Specialty Care Center, Mars.

Born July 30, 1922, in Arcola, Miss., she was a daughter of John and Mary Bell Poston Franklin.

Mrs. Crews retired as a quality control inspector at MSA, and she formerly had been a nurse at the Evergreen Nursing Center in Harmony and at the Passavant Retirement Community in Zelienople.

She enjoyed fishing.

She is survived by a daughter, Diane Crews of Fombell; a son, James "Butch" Crews and his companion, Dora Hargrove, of Butler; two stepchildren, Bernice Mitchell and her husband, Alvin, and Michael Crews and his wife, Dolores, all of Michigan; a sister, Edna Stovall of Michigan; grandchildren, William Trailor Jr. and his wife, Tonya, Jerome Trailor, Cindy Trailor and Dillon Cullin Crews; a niece, Audrey Taylor of Michigan; many step-grandchildren; many step-great-grandchildren; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Crews, who died in December 1990; a daughter, Barbara Cook, who died in 1974; a son, William Trailor, who died in 1997; and numerous brothers and sisters.

<B>CREWS</B> — Friends of Minnie L. Crews, who died Monday, Feb. 11, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home & Cremation SERVICES</B>, 219 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.Memorial donations may be made to the Benevolent Fund at the St. John Specialty Care Center, P.O.
