Charlene J. Richey

Charlene J. Richey, 76, of Butler, entered into eternal rest on Jan. 5, 2021.

She was born Charlene J. Thomas on July 27, 1944, and was the daughter of the late Charles R. and Betty J. Thomas.

She was a member of Faith Fellowship Alliance Church in Butler.

Charlene married Herbert N. Richey on June 7, 1962. They had two daughters to whom she dedicated much love and time, being very involved in their school and family activities.

Charlene cared for the elderly for many years as she managed the Betty J. Thomas Personal Care Home.

In later years, she enjoyed scrapbooking and crocheting small items to bring a smile to those around her. She loved visiting and playing games with her grandchildren.

Charlene was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Richey.

Surviving are two daughters. She will be sadly missed by her children and grandchildren, Beth (Richey) and Steve Bash and their children, Braeden, Camden and Lauren Bash, and Michele (Richey) and Seth Olivieri and their children, Johanna, Marah, Adam and Eli Olivieri.

Though we will miss our mother and grandmother, we do not mourn as those without hope.
