County placed under wind advisory until Friday
Butler County residents may be hosting uninvited gusts of wind from Thursday to Friday, according to the National Weather Service of Pittsburgh.
The 50 percent chance of rain in the forecast for Thursday could be accompanied by gusts up to 43 miles per hour, according to the advisory.
Meteorologists said an east wind blowing at five to 10 mph will transition to a south wind and increase in speed to around 16 to 21 mph in the afternoon Thursday. The highest wind gusts are expected Thursday night.
Friday’s forecast predicts temperatures in the mid 30s and wind gusts up to 30 mph.
The advisory is expected to end around 7 a.m. Friday, according to the forecast.
