William G. Ketterer, 76, of Mechanicsville, Va., formerly of Butler, went to be with the Lord Nov. 9.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ann Ketterer; three children, Sarah (Steve) Kern, William (Hollie) Ketterer and Dorothea (David) Henry; five grandchildren, Gabriel, William, Peter, Spencer and Matthew; one sister, Christine Miller; his special family member, Stephen (Shimii) Tengbeh and their son, Stephen; and numerous nieces, nephews and beloved extended family.

William was a graduate of the Kiski School, Kenyon College and the University of Pittsburgh Law School. He retired after 41 years of service as a senior attorney with the National Institutes of Health. William was a member of the Pennsylvania and Maryland Bar Associations and the Bar Association of the Supreme Court of the United States.

KETTERER — The family of William G. Ketterer, who died Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017, received friends from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, at the Mechanicsville United Methodist Church with a memorial service that began at 2 p.m. Interment was private.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mechanicsville United Methodist Church, 7356 Atlee Road, Mechanicsville, VA 23111.
