MARION TWP — Supervisors have learned that work on the township’s $4.2 million sewer project may begin in late May.

Dave Neil, of EADS Group, an inspection and engineering contractor in Clarion, provided a project update at the township’s monthly meeting Monday, Feb. 13.

Funding for the project, which will benefit more than 111 homes, comes from a 2020 Community Development Block Grant. County commissioners awarded contracts to county and regional contractors on Jan. 18 to replace the antiquated sewer system.

The project is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
