BC3 women bested by Potomac State
BUTLER TWP — Aslyn Pry scored 21 points and grabbed 13 rebounds Wednesday night, but the Butler County Community College women’s basketball team dropped a 61-51 decision to Division II Potomac State.
Emma Monteleone had 11 points and seven rebounds for the Pioneers (17-5). Brooke Manuel had nine rebounds, Sara Soltis seven points.
BC3 plays Westmoreland CCC at 1 p.m. Saturday for the WPCC championship.
Knoch grad Boyer helps Behrend win
ERIE — Knoch graduate Madilyn Boyer scored 17 points Wednesday night as Penn State Behrend women’s basketball team defeated Alfred State, 83-59.
Behrend improved to 19-5 overall, 11-2 in AMCC play.
Brown, Callihan team for racing victory
WASHINGTON, Pa. — Aunt Bee, driven by Slippery Rock resident Brady Brown and trained by Susan Callihan of Chicora, won an $8,500 Conditioned Trot during harness racing action Wednesday at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.
The 6-year-old mare increased her lifetime earnings to $118,985.
