Robert "Bob" Joseph Daw, 58, of Butler died Tuesday at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.

He was born Oct. 18, 1950, in New York City, the son of the late William Daw Sr. and Patricia Daw of West Babylon, N.Y., who survives.

Bob worked in the facilities department for Cranberry Township Streets and Properties.

A notorious practical jokester, he actively enjoyed gardening, spending time with his cats, Isaac and Blackbird, art and photography, music and traveling to California for family vacations.

He recently won third place for his collage during the Age of Aquarius Art Show at the Associated Artists of Butler County. He also was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Penguins.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Murphy) Daw, who he married Nov. 16, 1973; a son, Robbie Daw of Los Angeles, Calif.; three brothers, Ronnie Daw and George Daw, both of West Babylon, N.Y., and William Daw Jr. of Slippery Rock; a sister, Patricia Shaffer of Louisiana; and numerous nephews and nieces.

<B>DAW</B> — Friends of Robert "Bob" Joseph Daw, who died Tuesday, July 14, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St., where the service immediately will follow with Pastor Kenneth C. Hall officiating.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Bob's name may be given to the Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Road, Renfrew, PA 16053 or a book about cats, birds and gardening can be donated to the Butler Area Public Library, 218 N.
