Fire victim identified
MUDDY CREEK TWP — The Butler County Coroner's office has identified the man who died in a house fire this morning.
The man is Daniel Thomas, 26, of 141 Flinner Road. That address is nearby the house that burned at 348 Stone Church Road.
Thomas was sleeping at the residence when the house caught fire, trapping him on the second floor.
An autopsy is planned for this afternoon, according to the coroner's office.
